The Marine Mammal Anatomy and Pathology Library (MMAPL) is a resource for high quality images, information, and training tools describing normal anatomy and species specific pathologies of marine mammals. MMAPL was developed for the marine mammal stranding community, the larger marine mammal research community, veterinarians, pathologists, and educators. Collaboration was key to the development of this unique resource and continues to be critical as MMAPL continues to grow and evolve. We invite you to visit our Partners page to learn more about the many individuals and institutions who have contributed images and expertise to making this resource as useful and diverse as possible.
Make sure you also check back frequently to see new content which is being added regularly to the website. Upcoming items include a normal anatomy gallery for a phocid seal, additional quizzes and slide shows, and expert head anatomy dissections of an otariid, phocid, and delphinid.
